Our Monday Memorial Day swim will start at our regular 5:45 AM, but if you’d like to arrive an hour later and swim until 8 o’clock, I will get a second group going at 6:45 AM and dive in myself at 7 AM!
Two wildly different congratulations go out to our teammates today– Our friend, Dr. Hannah Stillings and her partner Dan welcomed a beautiful little boy into this world! If you would like to participate in a meal train for these folks, please click this link to share your love of eating with this new family! MealTrainForDr.Hannah’sFamily!

Next, congratulations to Brian Combs who last weekend completed the Chattanooga Ironman 70.3 and he reports he had his best swim ever during a triathlon! A bit of cramping at the end of the bike leg hindered full speed, but Brian is recovering well. Great job! Full race results here.

Also, congratulations to our friend and former coach Ian Quinn, who has been named to the the coaching staff of the World University Games to be held in China later this summer! One of Ian and Elizabeth Lykins swimmers at UNCA, Delaney Carlton, is the first student athlete from UNCA to ever make a World University Games team.

For whatever reason, USA Swimming has decided that this Team USA Swimming squad needs to do fundraising on their own! Although that is whacked, If you’d like to help contribute toward Ian and Delaney’s trip, please click here! We wish you both all the best!
Lastly, here are the workouts from the past week:
