Last Saturday was a smashing success at the second version of the Lure of the Lake open water event at the public beach at Lake Lure.
Young Martin Moran (son and prodigy of our teammate Marty Moran) raced the 1.5 miler touched in second-place ahead of father Marty who came third. See full results here! Our friends Trevor Downing and Jocelyn Robinson also finished in the top 20!
In the 3 miler it was Jim Dugan securing runner up status for the overall behind a youngster, with Rosyln Clapp, Carolyn Lowe-Thompson and Kathleen Moore finishing in the top 25. Craik Davis, Jay Mahler and butterfly extraordinaire Adrienne Kramer all finishing strong on what looked to be a gorgeous day lakeside! Click for results!
