Our friend and lane mate Steve Bradshaw completed his Appalachian Trail hiking odyssey this morning when he summitted Mount Katahdin in Baxter State Park Maine!
Steve began his journey on March 13 at the southern most terminus, Springer Mountain in Georgia, and 116 days later he has done it!
- Length: 2,197.4 miles (3,536.4 km)
- Location: The trail spans from Springer Mountain in Georgia to Mount Katahdin in Maine, passing through 14 states
- Elevation: The mountain has an elevation of 5,267 feet, making it the highest mountain in Maine.
- Elevation gain: The elevation gain to the summit is approximately 4,000 feet.
