The only 50-meter pool in the Asheville and Buncombe County area along the Swannanoa River was severely damaged during Hurricane Helene last fall. With all of the river that flowed in and over the pool it left lots of fertile sediment on the bottom of the pool, and now it has a beautiful full lawn growing in it.
It’s hard to imagine the city actually rebuilding this facility where it is now.
