Another beautiful day was had this past Saturday at the 11th annual Upstate Splash at Devils Fork State Park in Lake Jocassee, Salem, South Carolina!
With our masters group, triathletes from the Warren Wilson team, other swimmer and family friends in the area meant we had a lot of support from familiar faces and it was such a fun environment.
Choppy conditions and sloshy bathtub-like waves to start out caused many of us to focus on finding a rhythm and keeping it calm, get warmed up and enjoy the beautiful, clear water and the gorgeous scenery.
Most everyone had highlights from some portion or most of the swim! 79Β° water temperature and crystal clear as usual. I actually saw fish for the first time this year ever. οΏΌπ π

Our butterfly queen Adrienne has trained in so many conditions that she thought this was no biggie-and to think I worried about her getting waves in the face! What a studπ€ͺπ¬
Congratulations to each of you as you mastered your self in a dynamic environment, you are healthy enough to participate, and whatever else is going on in our lives it’s a beautiful place to spend a few hours. Thanks for being there and thanks for your support! Coach Andrew.
