Congratulations to Adrienne Kramer as she persevered to train another year to complete the Golden Triple Crown all whilst swimming the Butterfly! For 21.2 miles.
To achieve this amazing ‘Golden’ level a swimmer needs to complete all three of these open water events that make up the Crown in ONE calendar year:
Hobbs Island 5 miles– Huntsville, Alabama โ๏ธ
Bridges to Bluffs 10 kilometers /6.2 miles – Knoxville, Tennessee โ๏ธ
Swim the Suck 10 miles – Chattanooga, Tennessee โ๏ธ
Last year two of these events were completed by Adrienne- and Lisa!, trusted spousal sidekick, supporter, and paddler- before hurricane Helene thwarted the final event of the Crown in 2024.
Best quote Lisa heard today from another swimmer while she was paddling alongside Adrienne: “Oh my god it’s the butterfly lady! She’s hard fu$$ing core!!” Funny and true!!
Their friend Jane volunteered to paddle for a swimmer she never met who came from Colorado to Swim the Suck. Yay Jane!!
It was a beautiful day on the water…All 6 hours of it!! Well done and head shakingly astounding! The Butterfly Queen Adrienne rocks!
