Congratulations to Jimmy Green, winning his age group (Really Old) and placing 38th overall in the 5th annual 2.4 mile RatRace!, sponsored by the Chattanooga Open Water Swimming Association (COWS).
This is a current~assisted swim, and Jim, having masterfully read his Army Corps of Engineer currents chart, swam in perfect harmony with the Tennessee River, much like Siddhartha, when “The new Siddhartha felt a deep love for this flowing water and decided that he would not leave it again so quickly.” Yet, Jim DID leave it quickly, finishing in just a tad over an hour😀
