Two local swimming events we want you to be a part of…
August 15th at Lake Lure, we have the 1-mile or 2-mile open water race, as part of the Hickory Nut Gap Olympiad. We’d love to have as many of you attend and swim, as possible!
Next, your very own Asheville Masters hosts just one event per year, and that’s our 10th annual Steve Barden Memorial Swimming Meet on Sat, Sept 12, 2015. We’ll have the same format as last year, meaning, pool events in the morning at Asheville School, then a fun-filled open water lake swim (a glorified practice, NOT a race, as we are not sanctioned for a race at lake), with either BYOFood, or, signing up for Luella’s BBQ during registration. This lake event will be earlier than previous years with sign ups at 12:15pm.
