Recently Jim Green, 81 and son Jason Green, 27 both raced the State 2K open water championship in Pinehurst, NC with Jason winning the overall event out of 238 competitors!
And although there were not age group designations in this particular race, Jim Green was the fastest octogenarian in the pack!

Not sure the course measurements were exact, but it was still a great mix of race distance and lots of fit swimmers! Congratulations Team Green!
