Our Dynamic Duo does not rest in their respective retirements from serving our nation! Amy and Spencer Cocanour are always on the move and an inspiration in how to stay active and engaged doing all the things that they love!
Recently the pair participated in a couple triathlons in the North Carolina Set-Up event series and had strong outcomes as usual!
At the Lake Norman races in late April, the AquaBike event had Amy Cocanour placing fifth overall and was the first woman finisher in that event with the second fastest swim time of the top 10!
Also happening at Lake Norman, Spencer placed third the Sprint Triathlon in his age group -also with the second fastest swim in that group, AND the fastest transitions in this group leading to a 19th place overall finish!
In May, Spencer topped the podium (above) with his win in the 50-54 age group at the Triangle Triathlon event! He had the fastest swim time in his age group, and again the fastest transitions on his way to this win while also placing 8th overall..
At this same Set-Up event series in the triangle area, Amy raced in the AquaBike event (with no running at the end! Hooray), and placed third in the women’s category~ for another podium finish, while also placing seventh overall with the fourth fastest swim time of any competitor! Congratulations to you both.
