For now we will not be swimming open water at Enka/Biltmore Lake on Saturdays.
The Biltmore Lake Home Owner’s Association received inquiries about our current BLHOA Board approved swimming times and procedures-and the board at their last meeting voted to end our very healthy relationship without any inquiries or questions with, or to our swimming group.
Asheville Masters has appealed to the Board of Directors at Biltmore Lake in hopes we can resume what has been a very positive and professional relationship with residents of Biltmore Lake, affiliated community members and fellow Biltmore Lake resident-swimming -enthusiasts as they explore the beauty that comes from swimming in open water… And, let’s not forget the regular visiting professionals or family / friends who come to our gorgeous city and drop-in to swim with our group – and are often so impressed with this shining lake and it’s views, the general community and our very own AMS group that they consider moving here!
As anyone who has had the pleasure of swimming at Enka/Biltmore Lake would agree, it’s one of our favorite venues, we’re so grateful to be there and we comment on how beautiful it is every Saturday.
Let’s be creative and begin thinking of ways of how we could add value to their community that we’re not already doing that would enhance our opportunity to return. Let’s help make this a win-win for everyone if they’re open to that.
