Saturday , May 4th is our first open water swim opportunity at Biltmore Lake. The home owner’s association has graciously agreed to host us once again!
Tomorrow we will set the buoys and swim. Water temp 67-71F depending on depth. Wetsuits are always welcome and if you have a race coming up where you wear one, this is a great place to get all the kinks worked out so you’re comfortable in it!
We will meet Saturday mornings from roughly 7-9am. usually in the water about 7:15am and we often swim till 8:45am and we try to have buddies or eyes on us from beach. This is the only window we are permitted to swim here each week.
No Jellies Live in Biltmore Lake!
The views and people are amazing!
Smooth groove and strong!
1. At Biltmore Lake, always park on Lake Dr. near fence and club house, never in the parking lot near the tennis courts.
2. Come with swimsuit on🧜🏽♀️🧜🏽♂️. There is a bathroom with a code, But no locker rooms.
3. You’ll sign the Biltmore Lake liability waiver once this summer before first swim- and you’ll sign in every Saturday with your name & emergency contact number and always check out when done swimming by striking through your name.
3a. If you’re not current on monthly or six-month fees, you are welcome to pay the $10 drop in fee. If you bring a guest please provide that upfront. Thanks.
4. Be aware of your surroundings before you get in, know where you are going, and be aware of each other all the time. Know how to calm yourself down or ask me how to do that before getting in🧘🏻♂️
We will have lots of experience out there so if you’ve hesitated learning how to get comfortable in open water you’re in great company to change that, come on out in see why we all enjoy it so much.
Coffee before, during and after ~ all good!
Post Swim~~I always recommend being extra cautious and put a little hydrogen peroxide in my ears after each swim, just to be safe.🦆
